Dokument o jednej z najbardziej tajemniczych spraw kryminalnych w historii Francji. 5 maja 1986 roku, o dziewiątej rano jedenastoletnia Cécile Bloch wyszła z domu na lekcje, ale nie dotarła do szkoły. Tego samego popołudnia odnaleziono ją martwą. Stwierdzono, że przed śmiercią, została zgwałcona, a jej ciało niemal zmiażdżono. Mimo że śledztwem zajmowało się pięciu kolejnych prokuratorów i kilka ekip dochodzeniowych, żadnej z nich nie udało się odnaleźć sprawcy. Po piętnastu latach do akcji włączono Carine Hutsebaut, psychoterapeutkę specjalizującą się w rekonstruowaniu profili psychologicznych. Jej zdaniem zabójca, prawdopodobnie wysoki, dobrze zbudowany mężczyzna, jest paranoikiem owładniętym strachem przed identyfikacją. Carine twierdzi, że cisza wokół tej budzącej grozę sprawy może pomóc w jego ujęciu. W końcu żaden szaleniec nie jest w stanie pozostać niezauważony przez 15 lat.
